ロンドンを拠点に活動するグラフィック・デザイナー / イラストレーター。 Harrow School of Artにてイラストレーションを修学し、以後フリーランスとして活躍。 ハーバート・マター、サイ・トンブリー、ロバート・ラウシェンバーグ、アレクサンドル・ロトチェンコ、ヨーゼフ・ボイスなど多くのクリエイターからインスピレーションを受けている。

イラストレーション以外にもグラフィック・デザイナーとして活躍し、音楽業界でのプロジェクトにも多数関わる。 イギリスを代表するインディーズレーベル＜ドミノ・レコーズ＞創立時よりレーベル・ロゴとアートワークデザインなどを手掛け、 フランツ・フェルディナンド、アークティック・モンキーズ、フォー・テット、 ザ・キルズ、ボニー・プリンス・ビリー、クリニック、マックス・ツンドラ、 アーデム、 そしてドミノ・レコーズ以外でもナイン・ブラック・アルプスなどのアートワークを製作。 デザインやアートワークへの主張やこだわりが強いインディペンデントなミュージシャン達から絶大な信頼と支持を得ている。

Matthew Cooper studied illustration at Harrow College of Higher Education and since graduating has worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

He finds his inspiration in the work of Herbert Matter, Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenburg, Alexander Rodchenko, Joseph Beuys, and etc.

As well as his illustration work, Matthew works as a freelance graphic designer, primarily for the independent music sector. Projects range from sleeve design, through to the design of adverts and promotional material. He has worked with such luminaries as Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Four Tet, The Kills, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Clinic, Max Tundra, Caribou, and Chapel Club.
